A small cast copper alloy square harness pendant. The suspension loop is intact, and the pendant is in a reasonable condition.The obverse is decorated with a sunken circle containing a fleur-de-lis. This artefact dates to the 14th century.

A cast copper alloy harness pendant, composed of an outer frame with a swinger. The swinger takes the form of a circular centre section, pierced by a central hole; around this centre are four circular knops at the compass points, forming a rough quatrefoil. The outer frame loosely follows this shape, and has narrow ‘leaves’ protruding outwards between the curved sections, like sepals behind the petals of a flower. The top of the frame is elongated to house the suspension loop of the swinger; these are corroded together. This housing terminates in a small outer, complete suspension …
