A copper alloy probable candle holder. The object is in the form of a stylised cockerel with an integral conical socket, The bird has a long neck with a small, beaked head with stylised comb and wattle. There are moulded crescentic ridges on the sides of the body to indicate wings. The body extends downwards into a pair of legs, each with an angled joint and one complete with an expanded crescent shaped foot. It also extends back into a curved, spilt tail, with hooked ends. A flint axehead. A flaked axehead. Made on a nodule of pale grey-brown flint, now patinated to matt off-white and with iron staining along the flake ridges. Flaked on both faces from the edges, butt and cutting edge. All the cortex has been removed. The side edges are largely straight. It has a wide, slightly convex, cutting edge formed by flake removals from the edge into the body of the axehead. The axe tapers to the butt and has a lentoid cross section. A complete copper alloy pipe tamper in the form of an upright hand grasping a cylindrical object with flared end (probably a scroll) The hand has long moulded fingers wrapped around the bar and a thumb and hollowed palm below. A sherd of externally glazed earthernware pottery. The fabric is reduced pale grey at the core with orange-red oxidised margins. It is tempered with abundant fine sand and sparse grog. The sherd is quite abraded The sherd has an external cordon and flanking groove around the girth. There is an internal shoulder, probably a lid seat. An incomplete copper alloy hooked fitting. Possibly a dress fastener or a buckle pin. A thick bar of copper alloy with a D-shaped cross-section for much of its length, thinning into a rectangular cross section towards the hooked end. Th hooked end is tapered and bent at a right angle before curling back on itself. At the other end is also tapered and ends in a break. On one face of the bar in the centre are traces of stamped decoration of an annulet with four annulets set around it forming a rectangle.
