Two lithic implements of uncertain function. The first is quite large, is of tear-drop shape and has at least one retouched edge. It is approximately 10cm in length although it appears to be broken, potentially reducing its length marginally. The second has one curving edge with the opposite edge tapering to a point. The curved edge shows some signs of retouching. It is approximately 5cm in length. The date is 'later prehistoric', a time-period stretching from the Neolithic through to the Iron Age.

A partially patinated flint tortoiseshell core of Mesolithic to Neolithic date. The core is formed from a patinated brown flint that is circular in form and has steep unpatinated edge retouch producing the typical tortoiseshell core form. The unpatinated flint is probably part of an earlier lithic implement or core that has been subject to subsequent re-use, as evidenced by the unpatinated retouch. It measures 53.89mm in length, 51.42mm in width, 20.24mm in thickness and 61.90g in weight. Tortoiseshell cores such as this are typically of Late Neolithic date, c.2,500-2,100 BC. However,…

An incomplete unpatinated small bifacially worked core tool. It is struck from a dark grey/black flint that retains its cortex at the proximal end has relatively crude edge retouch with signs of damage at the blade end. An incomplete lithic implement struck from a mottled dark brown/grey flint. It is a triangular, bifacially worked flint point that has snapped torwards the butt end. One face retains its cortex and both edges have retouch. It measures 41.75mm in length, 18.50mm in width, 8.14mm in thickness, and weighs 7.09g. This is probably the snapped tip from a plano-convex knife of Early Bronze Age date or possibly a point from an arrowhead of uncertain date, although this is perhaps less likely given its size and the presence of cortex. It dates to the Neolithic or Early Bronze Age, c.3,500-1,500 BC.
