Object type: ARROWHEAD
Broad period: NEOLITHIC
County: Warwickshire
Workflow stage: Published Find published
A mid Neolithic oblique flint arrowhead. The surfaces of the arrowhead have a white/blue mottled patina. However, the retouch around the edges removes the patina to reveal an opaque brown flint. The retouch does not have any partially removed spalls of flint which would suggest that the knapping occurred recently, therefore it appears that an older patinated flint flake was used to produce tis arrowhead. The arrowhead is 32mm long and 15.1mm wide and weighs 2.25g. The mid Neolithic dates from 2900-2500 BC.
