A late Mesolithic to late Neolithic flint (7000 BC - 2100 BC) pick or chopping tool, a large core tool made on an elongated flint nodule which retains c.40% coretex. The object has a sub-triangular cross-section, with two faces of flake removal and one convex face retaining a pale orangey-brown cortex. The flint is grey-blue in colour and heavily patinated.
