An apparently complete, though slightly squashed, Late Bronze Age (1000-800 BC) gold penannular ring (or 'lock-ring'). It is hollow and triangular in cross-section, formed of two flat (angled) outer faces and an internal slightly concave face. Finger-ring one: An incomplete Roman (AD 200-300) silver finger-ring of a 'keeled type' (Henig type VIII), seemingly missing its setting and the back of the hoop. The breaks are recentish. The object takes the form of a disc with a central domed boss, the flat rim having moulded decoration in the form of eight equidistant transverse ribs. The rim is split along one of these. A complete copper alloy post-medieval (1650-1900) crotal bell, filled with mud. The upper hemisphere is undecorated while the lower has eight spokes of sunburst decoration around two semi-circles (on opposing sides of the sound-slot). One semi-circle has the initials WG and the other has the initial L. A rectangular loop projects from the upper hemisphere. The object measures 34.8mm in length, 28.5mm in width/ diameter and weighs (with mud) 31.55g.
