A hoard of Iron Age fittings from a chariot or other horse-drawn vehicle, comprising a pair of linch pins, bridle bits and rein terrets for a pair of horses as well as a copper alloy ingot and a small copper alloy decorative mount. A dispersed Iron Age coin hoard consisting of six gold staters found close together. The coins are all of Rudd's Verica Warrior Rex type (ABC 1190, VA 500-1, BMC 1146-58) issued under Verica (AD c.10-40) of the Southern British Iron Age and associated with the tribes known as the Regini and Atrebates. Five of the coins were discovered within 6 to 14 foot of each other, the sixth being an outlier slightly further away. All coins were 2" - 4" deep in a previously cultivated field. A late Iron Age/ early Roman (100 BC - AD 200) copper alloy miniature terret or harness fitting. It comprises an oval ring with a flat bar between two moulded-rib terminal ends and resembles a terret in shape. To the reverse this bar conceals a loop, projecting at 90 degrees to the ring and offset to one side. The ring is D-shaped in cross-section, being flat to the reverse, and expands from 2.3mmx1.6mm at the top (where it is worn) to max.7.2x3.4mm just before the terminal.
