Fragment of a shaped stone object, made from a flat piece of local red sandsone. The upper surface has been ground into a rimmed dish with straight sides. Two of the remaining sides angle away from a longer straight side giving the impression it may have originally been heptagonal. The underside of the dish curves up to the rim which has an acute edge. The original dimension of the dish was approximatley 350mm x 240mm. May possibly be a fragment of a garden bird bath.
