Plain trumpet brooch, perforated lug behind the head holds bronze spring of six turns, the pin is broken near the spring. Sub-oval head with small projection on the top. Plain upper bow, round in section. Central moulding is decorated with lobes and is flanked by a groove and slight mouldings. The central moulding continues around the back of the bow but is flattened. Plain lower bow is hemi-spherical in section and terminates in a flat-based foot-knob. Medieval copper alloy seal matrix, flat and pointed-oval in shape. Flat undecorated reverse. A flat crescentic or semi-circular lug projects from the top corner, and has a circular perforation. The engraved central motif is a bold fleur-de-lis with a flaring central stem with a small projection below. The inscription is set between plain line borders, and reads +S. ROB'. FIL'. AL'. PILAT (Seal of Rob[ert] son of Al[an] Pilat). The engraving is chunky and very well formed. 13th century.

Roman symmetrical plate brooch, equal-ended, 2nd century AD. Decorated central umbonate oval with central circular depression immediately surrounded by a pair of concentric circles. An outer concentric circle is roulletted. A pair of projecting symmetrical mouldings at either end composed of co-joined semi-spheres of differing sizes forming a cross. These support on the back a transversely positioned pierced lug for the pin and a catch opposite.

Late Iron Age/early Roman decorated stud. Circular flat-head decorated on front face with a pair of spiralling knob-ended tendrils in turqouise and white enamel. The cells formed where the knob-ends meet may also have once been filled with coloured enamel. There is a raised rim around the edge that is now mostly missing. There is a short central stud on the back.

Very fine medieval gold annular brooch dating from the 15th century. The brooch is hollow cast and is hemispherical in section. Part of the frame is made up of a pair of very finely cast three-dimensional clasped hands, the right hand faces the front and is positioned over the left. There is a raised band immediately below the knuckles suggesting the end of a sleeve. The left hand, facing the back of the brooch, has the same band but is less pronounced probably due to wear. Decorated Roman trumpet brooch. Pierced lug incorporating a downward facing hook beneath on the back of the head would have held the spring, which is missing. Oval head with rim around outer edge defined by a roulletting. Plain, fully rounded waist moulding; lower bow decorated with a median rib and a rib on each outer edge.
