Cast copper alloy, Roman, minaiature votive axe. The head of the axe has been decorated on both sides around the edge with a triangular punch. The shaft is round in section with a flattened swelling at the junction with the head, this also displays punch marks.

Plain trumpet brooch, perforated lug behind the head holds bronze spring of six turns, the pin is broken near the spring. Sub-oval head with small projection on the top. Plain upper bow, round in section. Central moulding is decorated with lobes and is flanked by a groove and slight mouldings. The central moulding continues around the back of the bow but is flattened. Plain lower bow is hemi-spherical in section and terminates in a flat-based foot-knob. Elaborate oval-looped buckle frame. Triple ridge pin rest on front edge with an S-shaped scroll to either side. The side are decorated with a central double ridge with rows of curving lines to either side. The knop terminals of the strap bar are human faces. The pin is missing.
