The figurine is of a naked male figure, posed in an unusual half crouched position, with the left leg half bent and the right leg three-quarters bent. The head is tilted to the right, the left arm is bent and raised above the head. The right arm is broken off between the shoulder and elbow, but the surviving part is angled downwards. An unidentified object which could possibly be a fragment from a torc or a bracelet. The object consists of a sub-spherical terminal attached to a curved arm. The arm, probably copper alloy based on its green surface colour, is U-shaped in section, with the channel largely filled with a similarly coloured metal, also probably a copper alloy, and which appears to be a continuation of the sphere. The exterior of the U-shaped section of the arm is decorated with three sets of transverse grooves - one at the terminal by the sphere, one near to the opposite terminal, and one between the tw…

A late Roman gold finger ring of unusual type. The hoop, which is broadly oval in profile, is decorated on the outer surface by a series of stepped mouldings, with the appearance of scales or even crude hands. These descend from the shoulder to the bottom of the hoop, five on each side, terminating at the foot with two further steps with grooves which run transverse to the other two sets. The bezel consists of three parallel oval box settings, the outer two of which contain garnets. The central one is empty but perhaps originally contained a pearl; on each corner, this setting is flank…
