British Museum Curatorial Report:
Roman silver finger-ring of 'keeled' type. The hoop is composed of a strip of flattened metal of rectangular section that has been folded over and joined at the bottom of the hoop (the join is visible under magnification). The hoop expands to 'keeled' shoulders and a flat rectangular bezel, which has traces of an ovoid collet for a setting, which is now missing. There is evidence that the collet and setting were deliberately removed.
