A scraper of probable Neolithic date, 4000 - 2350 BC. The scraper is formed from a secondary flake. There is a small amount of cortex remaining at the proximal end, where there is the striking platform. The flake is mottled grey in colour. On the dorsal face there is semi-abrupt, semi-parallel extensive retouch at the distil end. A flake has been removed towards the right mesal, to facilitate holding the scraper between the thumb and the first index finger. The ventral face is smooth with a low bulb of percussion. A fragment probably from the blade end of a polished stone axehead of Neolithic date (c. 4000 - 2350 BC). The fragment appears to be the corner of the blade end of the axehead, with a diagonal break at the top end of the fragment. A further horizontal break is evident at the base of the fragment. A section of the tapered cutting edge is evident with ground and polished sides. The axehead is made of a fine grained igneous rock, possibly dolerite, and is rough with quartz inclusions. An incomplete lead-alloy toy or souvenir of Modern date (AD 1838-1911). The object is a miniature replica of the Coronation Chair, or St. Edward's Chair, in Westminster Abbey, which was commissioned by Edward I to contain the Stone of Scone. The object has moulded decoration, including lions at the base of the throne's legs (three are remaining) and quatrefoil and arched decoration on the sides. A sherd from a cordoned Roman vessel. The cord decoration is prominent and there are two incised lines above and below the cord. The vessel is oxidised orange on the outer surfaces with a reduced grey core. The fabric is fine grained with sparce inclusions of quartz less than 0.5mm in diameter, crushed shell and charcoal approximately 0.5mm - 1mm in diameter. This is a beach find and many inclusions have been lost or dissolved as a result of the action of the sea. Length: 56.9 mm, width: 50.1mm and thickness: 23.2mm. Weight 74.5g.
