A heavily worn and incomplete cast openwork copper-alloy stirrup-strap mount of Williams's Class B, Type 2, Group 1, dating from c. AD 1000 - 1100. The mount is roughly bell-shaped. Roughly rounded at the top and wider at the base, the apex pierced for suspension, this hole now broken through. The base of the mount has a flange projecting at 45 degrees to the reverse of the mount, pierced with two rivet holes, where corroded iron rivets remain in situ, equally spaced along the flange. A very corroded Post Medieval square copper-alloy coin weight for a spur-ryal of James I dating to the period c. AD 1619 - 1625 (third coinage). The coin weight is square in shape with slightly tapering sides so that the reverse face is slightly narrower than the obverse face. The obverse exhibits a design of a spur-ryal. The reverse depicts a crown with XV S below. The coin weight is 16.9mm wide, 17.4mm long, 3.0mm thick and weighs 5.45g.

A complete copper-alloy stirrup-strap mount dating to the late early-medieval period of Williams' Class A, Type 12 (c. 11th century). The mount is roughly diamond (lozenge) shaped, with a squared, flat base and a rounded loop at the opposing apex which retains the remains of an iron rivet. A fragment of a Late Bronze Age copper alloy Socketed Axehead (c.1150BC - 800BC). The cutting edge of the axehead flares outwards to form a convex cutting edge which is complete, relatively unworn, quite sharp to the touch and is 49.1mm wide. In side view it is 'V' shaped and the casting seam is visible on both concave sides. The seam is closer to one face than the other. At the broken end of the axehead are the remains of a socket 18.2mm long, 2.5mm wide and 1.8mm deep. The break is irregular and old but not particularly worn. A complete copper alloy early post-medieval toggle clasp for a sword belt or hanger, dating from c. AD1500 - AD1700. The main body of the clasp is sub-triangular and tapering in width. At the broader end is an integral open circular suspension loop, 16.55mm in diameter, with a sub-rectangular recessed aperture and a smaller circular hoop, 8.8mm in diameter, protruding at an angle. A Roman ceramic sherd from a wheel thrown Samian ware vessel dating to the period c. AD43 - 260. The sherd comprises a fragment from the body of a vessel. The sherd is decorated in raised relief on the convex side, the concave side is plain. The fabric is fine and hard and pink to orange in colour. The sherd measures 50.6mm long, 23.4mm at its widest, is 6.3mm thick and weighs 7.7g. Laing L (Pottery in Britain 4000BC to AD1900) 2003, pg 50 - 55, shows examples of this type of pot sherd and suggests it originated from Central or Southern Gaul.

A complete copper alloy wire pin probably dating from Medieval to Post Medieval. The pin has two wires wound evenly around the head which is oval in section, 7.0mm by 5.8mm and through which the shaft protrudes. The shaft appears complete and is 2.2mm thick tapering evenly to a sharp point. The pin is 69.8mm long, weighs 2.8g and is in reasonably good condition with a dark brown patina. Bailey G 1997 (Detector Finds 3), pages 68,69, ref. 14, shows a very similar pin. Bailey suggests these type of pins would have been used in the hair or to secure clothing.

Copper alloy Anglo-Saxon hooked tag. The tag has a sub-circular plate with two uneven holes for attachment. There are crudely made incised lines decorating one side of the plate, the other side is blank. The hook is intact apart from the tip. The tag is 14.5mm wide, 22.2mm long, 0.75mm thick and weighs 1.05 grammes.

A knapped flint, barbed and tanged arrowhead dating from the Late Neolithic to Middle Bronze Age (c. 2500 BC to 1150 BC). The arrowhead is bifacially worked and sub-triangular in plan, with two notches in the base, between a central tang and a barb either side. All three have lost their points to breaks. The arrowhead has shallow parallel retouch on both faces, with an unretouched area in the centre of both faces. The flint is pale grey to pale brown with one of the unretouched areas white to light brown. It is 23.4mm long, 19.3mm wide and 4.8mm thick; it weighs 2.05 grams.

One end of the arm is complete, whilst the other end incomplete and probably broken in antiquity. The coin recorded here is the same coin as Dhénin and Schiesser no. 7, The coin appears to be a relatively base silver and is corroded.
