The object has a solid end that is slightly rounded and has a pitted surface. It is circular in shape with an incised circumferential line near the centre. Integral to the base is a handle that is circular in section that is slightly waisted before expanding outwards to form a rounded collar. A cast copper alloy strap fitting (belt mount) of post-medieval date (c.1500-1700). The design is a debased fleur-de-lis, with two pierced holes, beneath which are two horizontal lines. Both front and back faces are flat. On the reverse are two complete cast, rounded and tapering projections (fixings) along the middle of the item. A pierced copper alloy jetton. Issued by Cornelius Lauffer, master 1658, died 1711. Obverse: centre (illegible) surrounded by legend CAROLVS.II DG:MAG:BR.FRAN.ET HIB:REX, contained within beaded border. Reverse: Central design of four shields in a cross formation with scrolls in the joining sections. Legend: CORNELI.LAVFFERS.RECH PFEN COUNTERS. The token is pierced for suspension. It consists of a sub-rectangular shaped terminal, with a central circular perforation (9.0mm in diameter). The terminal has the remnants of four rounded knops on the four outer points. An arm would have led from one of these knops, but the object is too corroded to determine which one. Length: 20.00mm. Width: 19.8mm. Thickness: 4.2mm (max). Weight: 2.82g.

A cast copper alloy stud, probably a Roman bell-shaped stud of Allason-Jones Type 1 dating to the period c.AD 43-410. It is biconical, expanding in both directions from a waisted central portion. The terminal end of the stud has a concave face with a slightly raised rim around a sub-rectangular hole. The shank end of the stud has a rounded collar. The hole retains traces of iron oxide, suggesting an iron shank, now missing. Diameter: 17.0mm (max). Diameter (collar): 9.0mm, Diameter (waist): 7.7mm. Height: 7.0mm. Weight: 2.20g.

Around 25% of the deep crescentic (or 'pelta') shaped plate brooch is present, consisting of the central rounded point and one outer wing. A post Medieval domed thimble, 19.8mm high, dating from the 18th to the early 19th century. The thimble has silver sheet sides with a copper alloy cap soldered on. The sides have machined circular pits around the upper half; the lower portion has a band of circumferential rouletted decoration between paired grooves. The cap is corroded. The thimble has been crushed and the open end is heavily damaged.
