A worn silver Roman Republican denarius of the moneyer M. Volteius M.f., dating to the period c.78 BC (Reece period 1). Obverse: Head of Hercules right within a border of dots. Reverse: The Erymanthian boar right, [M.VOLTEI.M.F.] in exergue. Mint of Rome. As RRC 385/2. This appears to be only the second coin of this type recorded on the PAS database.

This is a very rare coin, and only the second coin of Agrippina Senior recorded through the PAS. A coin of the same type was recorded in Devon: DEV-EEA7E1.
