An incomplete plated silver Roman denarius copying a coin of Tiberius (AD 14-37), dating to the period c.AD 14-37 (Reece period 1). PONTIF MAXIM reverse type depicting a female figure (Pax or Livia) seated right holding vertical sceptre in right hand and branch in left. Prototype of the mint of Lyon. Cf. RIC I (2nd ed.), p. 95, no. 30 for the type. The coin has a copper-alloy core that is clearly visible on both faces where the plating is missing.

An Iron Age uninscribed silver unit of the Southern Region / Atrebates and Regni, dating to the period c.60-20 BC. Obverse: Devolved bust right with crescent-shaped hair curls. Reverse: Horse facing right, pellet in ring above, ring and pellets in front, possible devolved comb or lyre below. It measures 13.3mm in diameter and 0.89g in weight.
This coin probably belongs in Bean's (2000: p. 70) type QsT1-6 group, likely related to silver units of the Regni with lyre motif beneath the horse (e.g. ABC, p. 53, no. 650) and with distribution focussed in southern Britain around West Suss…
