A fragment from a silver Roman miliarensis, probably of Valentinian I (AD 364-375) or Valentinian II (AD 375-392), dating to the period AD 367-392. VIRTVS EXERCITVS reverse type depicting the Emperor standing facing, head left, holding standard in right hand and resting left hand on shield? Uncertain mint, probably struck at one of the western mints, possibly Trier. The original diameter of this coin has been estimated as being c.23mm.

A silver Roman miliarensis of Theodosius I (AD 379-395), dating to the period AD 379-383 (Reece period 20). VOTIS V MVLTIS X reverse type with the legend within a wreath. Mint of Trier. This is an unlisted miliarensis type for Theodosius I, probably a variant of RIC IX, p. 24, no. 52 with reverse type RIC IX, p. 25, cf. no. 59b.
