Probably VENVS S C reverse type depicting Venus standing left holding apple? and leaning on column. Mint of Rome. The figure of Venus has a similar stance to Spes on the reverse of a coin of Marcus Aurelius as Caesar, struck AD 153-4 (BMC pl. 47, no. 16; RIC III, p. 184, no. 1320). This would suggest that the Faustina piece was struck around the same time and might be another 'Coin of British Association', issued for use in Britain.
