An incomplete Medieval copper-alloy seal matrix, dating to c.AD 1200 - 1400. The seal is a pointed oval or vessica shape it is decorated with a central raised rib and an integral lug set close to the upper end on the reverse, the lug is incomplete. The die face is decorated with the virgin mary and child (Jesus) in the centre, behind them in a Romanesque style church and below a person praying. A complete Medieval cast lead seal matrix dating to the thirteenth century. The matrix is disc-shape with a triangular attachment lug projecting from the reverse. The front face has an incised design consisting of a fleur-de-lis set within a circle. An incised legend surround this. Copper alloy seal matrix. Oval or shield-shaped matrix on a constricted and lightly facetted handle with a slightly narrowed rounded top loop. A central motif comprises the head of a stag of eight points with a cross potent between its antlers. A short legend above the motif reads LEL; the design is locally known with a similar legend of LE SV, for I am loyal. Malcolm Jones has kindly corrected an initial mis-reading of the legend. Copper alloy seal matrix. A small circular matrix, constricted to form a short collared handle with a rhomboid top loop now blocked by ferrous corrosion. A central motif appears to represent a face in profile, facing right on the impression. This is kindly identified by Malcolm Jones as the head of John the Baptist on a platter. It depicts a bird, right, with folded wings and an object in front which may be a droplet or egg. The legend reads FORE[C or L]ER[+]S, ending with a retrograde S after a cross-filled square.

An incomplete lead alloy probably cancelled circular seal matrix of Medieval dating (AD 1200 to AD 1300). Around 50% of the seal matrix is present, in two joining pieces. The seal matrix was originally circular and flat. The handle on the reverse is missing and there is no decoration visible. The front of the device depicts a fleur-de-lis (lys) in the centre. It is separated from the inscription text around the outside by a simple single line border. The inscription is incomplete. It is possible to read: +SIGILL LA[ ]ChE.
