A complete copper-alloy Roman contemporary copy of an as of Claudius, c. AD 41-54 (Reece Period 2). Reverse: S C, probably Minerva advancing right. The coin is extremely worn and corroded. Robert Kenyon, following on from the work by the French scholars P-A. Besombes and M.
