A fragment of a nutcraker arm (1300-1600). It is sub rectangular with a circular cross section. It slightly tapers to the terminal which is decorated with an acorn shaped knop. The other end is flattened on one side to create a D shapped cross section. There is a break running across this end. The flattened end is decorated on both sides with a series of incised grooves and raised ridges. On the convex side there are two grooves and two ridges running parallel and next to the break.
