A fragment of a nutcraker arm (1300-1600). It is sub rectangular with a circular cross section. It slightly tapers to the terminal which is decorated with an acorn shaped knop. The other end is flattened on one side to create a D shapped cross section. There is a break running across this end. The flattened end is decorated on both sides with a series of incised grooves and raised ridges. On the convex side there are two grooves and two ridges running parallel and next to the break. A cast copper alloy mount dating from the Medieval to Post Medieval periods (1100 - 1700 AD). The mount is circular with a central convex boss and eight evenly spaced protruding lobed knops. The reverse is concave and undecorated. In the centre of the reverse there is an integrally cast sharp spike. The spike tapers to a point and is bent over so that it slightly protrudes between two of the lobed knops. The mount measures 36mm in diameter. A similar example is recorded on this database; SUSS-1D0EC3.

A cast copper alloy strap loop dating to the Medieval period (1300 - 1400 AD). The strap loop is flat and sub rectangular with an integral centrally situated external rivet on one side.
