Treasure Case 2015 T467B (addendum to 2013 T44).
Circumstances of discovery
This Late Bronze Age socketed axe, and socketed axe SWYOR-242536 (2015 T467) and another copper alloy object of indeterminable form and date, were found while searching with a metal detector. The objects were found close to the findspot of a Late Bronze Age hoard (2013 T44). It is suggested that these objects are an addenda to that case.

A hoard of two Early Bronze Age flat axes, dating from about 2050 BC - 1700 BC, and found in the same hole. One axe is complete and the other is in two pieces and is decorated.
Descriptive catalogue:
1. A copper alloy flat axe which is in two parts; it seems likely that this object has broken while in the ground and the break is not an example of pre-depositional action. The surfaces of the break are covered with comparable patina to the other surfaces of the object and both pieces fit neatly together.

Circumstances of Discovery
In August 2011, a group of three prehistoric copper alloy objects were found in West Yorkshire. All three objects were socketed axeheads of Late Bronze Age date, dispersed by ploughing. Two of the axes (Nos. 2 & 3) were found within 0.3m of each other. A further axe (No. 1) was found further away (c.5-15m distant).
