Copper alloy brooch fragment. Kindly identified by Alex Bliss as from one end of an ansate brooch; he comments as follows: 'This is not modern, it is one terminal of a Middle/Late Saxon Ansate brooch, Weetch type XII. A comparable example on the PAS is SF-AE0C83. The pin-lug are visible on the reverse of this piece. Date c. AD 800-1000'. A complete knapped flint probable tranchet axehead or adze of Late Mesolithic date (6500- 4000 BC) date. It is parallel-sided and flatter to one face than the other. Both faces retain a small area of cortex and the flint is dark grey in colour with some patination spots.
There is an angled transverse strike at the square cutting edge to one face. The butt end retains some cortex and remnants of a heavily patinated original surface. Flake removals otherwise flank the long edges and are semi-abrupt in angle.

A concavo-convex hollow cone with four rounded ascending stages, each bearing relicts of a series of closely juxtaposed curved stamps. A copper-alloy coin weight dating to the Post-Medieval period, probably c. 1610-1650. The weight is rectangular in plan, with neatly chamfered edges and designs clearly visible on both faces. The upper face of the weight demonstrates the mark of a hand (denoting this weight was manufactured in Antwerp) flanked by the initials B B (the maker). Other symbols are visible adjacent to these initials, though they are almost totally illegible. A Post Medieval copper alloy jetton (AD1550 -1590) of the Rechenmeister type. Obverse: Rechenmeister seated facing, at his counting table, with one hand and numerous counters upon the table. There is a continuous looped chain design around the border. The reverse has the Alphabet in five lines within a square lined border. arranged as ABCDE/FGHIK/LMNOP/QRSTV/WXYZ Letters J and U are not included. Diameter 27.5mm, thickness 1.06mm, weight 4g. There is no exact match in Mitchiner for this jetton, but c.f nos. 1426-1428, the alphabet similarly occuring inside a square frame.

The jetton is similar on the reverse to Mitchiner 171, an English type datable to c.1280-1343. The obverse is obscured, but may be a shield of arms.
Soldered to the reverse is a strip of copper alloy sheet which would have formed and attachment hook.

A complete cast copper-alloy rotary key dating to the Medieval period, c. 1150-1400.
The bow is circular and flat on both faces with a central circular aperture, probably for suspension. It has an outer diameter of 9.87mm with the hole measuring 4.62mm in diameter. The shank is oval in cross-section and solid, tapering to a sharp point that extends beyond the bit-the latter being broadly rectangular in plan with a single cleft in the front edge. Manufactured on a by a tertiary flake of fine grained greyish flint that has now patinated white/mottled blue, it is ogival in plan- demonstrating a rounded butt and curving sides that taper towards the now missing tip. A fragment of a Late Bronze Age copper-alloy socketed axehead.
This fragment is irregular in plan and is part of the mouth of the axehead. The outer face is bulbous at the top, narrows and then becomes bulbous again. Between each bulbous section the wall is very thin. The rear face is flat except for a vertical rib.
The fragment has a dark green patina and the breaks are old.

A complete early medieval cast silver pyramidal mount, probably from a sword scabbard. It is in the form of a hollow truncated pyramid with a square base and a flat top. Each face is decorated with three triangular recesses, one at the top with the point downwards and one each in the left and right corners, their points upwards. On the top is a partially recessed circular cell with a pellet in the centre. An integral bar runs transversely across the base, rounded in section in the middle and flattened towards each end.
