The object comprises one half of the two part mirror case with the other prat of the case and the mirror glass itself now missing. The case is circular in shape, although broken. An incomplete Roman copper alloy finger ring dating from AD 43-250. It is of Type 2 (Guiraud) and is a gem-set signet ring. The back of the hoop is missing. The finger ring has a flat oval bezel set with an opaque dark blue gem (perhaps nicolo). The hoop round it is wide and tapers smoothly into the shoulders. The wide hoop is D shaped in cross-section. The intaglio is engraved with cupid riding a dolphin (facing left on the intaglio). The gem has a flat face and a bevelled edge, and it stands proud of the hoop. An incomplete copper alloy Roman brooch, an Aucissa type dating from AD 43 - 75. The head is incomplete but has a flat plate tapering into a narrow and plain bow of shallow D shaped cross-section. In profile the bow is highly arched. The lower bow tapers and there is a very small rounded foot. Part of the catchplate survives. The pin is missing. Measurements are; length 43.1mm, width 7.8mm, thickness 18.6mm and weight 2.41g. Compare examples on plate 89 and 90 of Mackreth (2011) but none are as plain as this.

A copper-alloy strap end of Medieval date about AD 1270 - 1400. It is a three peiec strap end with a sheet spacer than occupies the full width of the strap. Both plate have broken off at the en dof the spacer. It is sub-rectangular, tapering to a pointed end with a small knop in the centre. A cast lead spindle whorl probably dating from the middle Early Medieval period (AD 700 - 850). It most closely conforms to Walton Rogers (2007) form B1, with two equally sized flat faces, vertical sides, and rectangular section. The size of the aperture, at 6.1mm, supports a date range of this period. The whorl is undecorated and shows very little sign of damage. It has a mottled light grey patina. Dimensions are diameter 26.5mm; thickness 4.7mm; central perforation is 6.1mm in diameter; weight: 24.22g. Similar examples include SWYOR-B2DB53 and SWYOR-11B925.

An incomplete copper alloy strap fitting, perhaps a sword belt fitting, dating from the Post Medieval period, about AD 1500 - 1700. It is a square plate, with a projecting fleur or trilobed terminal at one end, containing a small circular rivet hole. At the other end, is a similar projection that extends into a backwards hook. There is also an iron rivet in the lower end of the square plate. A circular copper alloy loop is suspended from the hook. Measurements are; total length 46.1mm, width 13.3mm, thickness 5.9mm and weight 3.73g. The ring is 11.3mm in diameter.
