A flat fragment of pale green glass, possibly Roman as it was found in in the vicinity of previous Roman finds. From either a pane of window glass, or less likely, a vessel. If the glass is Roman then is likely to date to between c122 and c407 AD when the local fort was occupied.
The length is 16mm, the width is 8mm, the thickness is 2mm, and the weight is 0.46g.

An incomplete cast probably pewter alloy whistle of Post-medieval date, circa AD 1750 -1900. The whistle is in the form of a pipe bowl which is sub-conical with a hollow interior and short circular projection extending from the upper surface and terminating in a worn break representing the remains of the stem. The surface of the bowl is decorated with irregularly spaced raised pellets and a faint casting line is present on the longitudinal axis.

A pewter hawking whistle of Post-Medieval (probably 18th century) date. The body is cylindrical, tapering slightly towards the bottom. There is a cylindrical, rounded extension at one end, possibly for an attachment loop. A raised ring at the top separates the body section from the thinner mouth-piece. Immediately below this upper ring is the semi-circular aperture which allows the sound to escape. A second ring is located towards the bottom of the body. A small cast conical lead weight with a hole probably Medieval to Post-medieval, 1400-1700. The length is 33mm, the width is 28mm thickness and the weight 111.62g.

Medieval to early post medieval cast lead alloy decorated weight. Probably intended for use as a spindle whorl or fishing weight. The rim of the interior hole is of interest. If you look at the right image the rim is smooth On the left the rim has (for half the thickness of the artefact) has a triangular indentation opposite a rectangular one. Wear to the edges of these indentations suggests that these modifications were made early in the life of the object and pertained to a function that the object carried out for the majority of its working life. Dates between c1066 to c1600 AD.

Post Medieval cast lead alloy, or lead, trade weight. This discus like weight appears to have been designed to be used suspended, possibly as a counterweight to grain bushels or wool bales. It has two official crown marks, the earlier appears to be for James I. These marks are on one side, along with the two holes that were cast into it. The reverse side is also domed, and the funnel shaped cavity's smaller hole is central. Dates to between 1603 and 1901 AD.
The thickness is 26mm, diameter is 114mm.

An incomplete cast lead alloy weight which might possibly have been either a loom weight or a fishing weight probably Medieval 12th to 15th century AD. The length is 36.5mm, the width is 24.5mm and the weight is 33.15g.
It is very pale grey in colour due to the oxidisation of the lead, but also has what appears to be iron staining across extensive parts of the surface. The item is broadly a U shape, with a sub-rectangular interior shape. The weight is truncated and squashed possibly post-deposition by a plough strike.

An incomplete shaped stone disc made from coarse sandstone / fine grit-stone. The stone appears dark brown on the outside, partly through weathering and has a large quantity if yellow/brown inclusions which appear to be flecks of ironstone or iron ore. The upper surface has been worked into a fairly smooth dome shape, giving the appearance of a quern stone, however, the lower surface is rough, appearing to have been fractured from what may have originally been an almost spherical shape and therefore it is unlikely to have been a quern.
