A Medieval 1300 to 1400 AD copper-alloy conical seal matrix. The die of the matrix is circular with a tapering hexagonally faceted handle extending from the reverse. The handle terminates in a lozenge-shaped terminal with central perforation which would have served as a suspension loop. The seal shows a crude representation of the head of St. John the Baptist on a platter. There is no legend. The death of St John the Baptist is a common subject on seal matrices. Similar toDENO-DC076F on the database. The length is 20mm, the width is 21mm and the weight 7g.

A fragment of a lead alloy toy gun of Post Medieval dating (AD 1600 to AD 1800). The gun or petronel consists of a cylindral barrel and the butt, trigger and trigger guard are missing. Scroll decoration is present on the barrel. The length is 40mm, the width is 15mm and the weight 14.85g. A particularly good example on the data base is PUBLIC-E6598.

A Post Medieval copper alloy incomplete furniture fitting called a drop handle, used as a drawer pull, c. 1660-1710 AD. The fitting is broadly trefoil in shape and would have had a rectangular suspension loop which is now broken and missing. The handle/pull is sub-trapezoidal in shape, it is bifurcated with rearward lugs scrolling to each side. decorated with leaf-like moulding with diagonal incisions. The length is 28mm, the width is 27mm and the weight 3.86g.

A late Medieval to Post Medieval undecorated lead alloy vessel or container, dating from c. AD 1450 - 1700. The vessel is D-shaped in section; being rounded at the front and flat at the back. The vessel is open at the top, and the sides taper towards the closed end. There are no attachment holes or rivets visible, suggesting that the vessel stood on its own rather than being attached to a wall. An incomplete Elizabethan two part lead cloth seal dating to c.1533-1603AD. The front is decrated with a crowned head with the initials ER at either side. The double-headed eagle is the symbol of the Hanseatic Clothworkers Guild, but its use on seals does not necessarily imply that this is a continental seal, according to Egan (1995) p.116. The Hanseatic organisation had outstations in Ipswich and London. The diameter is 15mm and the weight 2.19g. From the centre of the lower edge of the head a D-sectioned broken arched bow extends terminating in a worn break. The metal has a mid-green patina and is worn. The object is curved and broken at potentially both ends. The handle does have some engraved decoration but is difficult to distinguish through wear and corrosion.
