An incomplete post medieval three-piece composite biconvex discoid uniform button, probably of die stamped halves with a drawn wire loop which passes into the back. The button is domed with a convex front, the reverse is concave. The front is decorated with an engraved stylised flower consisting of a six pointed inner ring of sepals within a circle with slightly raised pimple centre, which is in turn contained within incised lines probably added with the aid of a hand-operated machine. A complete, silver, post medieval thimble, AD.1600-1700 of two-piece construction. The thimble is conical with a domed top, the lower third of the piece is decorated with 2 putti supporting what appear to be two conjoined hearts engraved with initials *AH* to the side are what appears to be the initials *ug* possible a makers mark. A large portion of a Medieval copper-alloy adjustable candle holder missing the receptacle for the candle and most of the pointed support. The folded plate is undecorated and there is a separate thin sheet leaf within. Wise (2002) suggests a later 14th or 15th century date for these objects.The length is 37mm, the width is 11mm and the weight 6.78g. Similar to figure 899 in Read. B. The weight is unifaced and circular in plan with slightly raised sides and incised lathe turned lines on the interior surface. Post medieval copper alloy belt mount, 1500-1700. A copper alloy belt or strap mount of post-medieval date. The mount appears to be broadly phallic in shape. One end is bilobate with a waisted middle and flaring triangular terminal at the other. The reverse holds two prongs, one near each short end. Copper alloy crotal bell dating to the Post-medieval period 1500 to 1700AD. The bell is spherical in form with a circumferential rib, now very worn. The upper hemisphere has a square attachment loop projecting upwards, oval in section, with a circular sound hole to the front and back of the loop. There is a green patina on the surface. The object is damaged and roughly triangular but would have been originally circular in plan and slightly conical. In the centre of the object the perforation has an internal diameter of 9mm. Each face appears to have been decorated with vertical and horizontal, cross-hatching lines, although the decoration is damaged, faded and unclear. The object has a light grey patina. The reverse side is flat and plain. The surface is worn and abraded, of a reddish-brown colour with areas of green patina. A similar item is published by Brian Read, History Beneath Our Feet (1995), page 95, No. 591.The length is 35mm, the width is 17mm and the weight 27.93g.
