An incomplete copper alloy buckle frame of post-medieval date. The object forms a thin strap and is decorated with openwork formed by one horizontal oval hole flanked by two circular holes, with a further circular hole on one side. On this side, the object has an arm which extends and then curves, terminating in two points, which could be half of a broken circle. The frame has been pierced for a separate spindle. An incomplete buckle frame dating to the post-medieval period. The object is in the form of two curved strips, connected by three 6-pointed flowers or stars. The object has a flat base which curves with the strips, and one side has an extension which sticks out of the object at the 'top'. The object also appears to have finely detailed dotted horizontal rows on the two strips. The object has a black to light brown patina.

Medieval copper single looped buckle. The object is D-shaped in plan. Either side of the strap bar is a lobed knop between which is a copper alloy sheet roller. The pin is missing and the strap bar is narrowed and offset. The buckle has a mid-green patina and can be dated to AD 1250-1400. A similar example which can be found on the PAS database is LVPL-9E128E. A similar example can be found in Whitehead (2003), p9.

An incomplete post-medieval copper double looped buckle. The frame is of a rectangular shape with decorated corners. The left two corners are decorated with a fleur-de-lis pointing outward. What can be seen on the buckle is moulded foliate decoration. The pin is missing from the buckle, but where it should sit is the integral strap bar, that divides it symmetrically. An incomplete cast copper alloy buckle of post-medieval date. The buckle is a rectangular garter buckle with a drilled frame for a seperate spindle and a double spiked tongue. The metal is a mid brownish-green colour and is slightly worn. The buckle is 19mm long, 16.3mm wide, 2.9mm thick and weighs 2.4g. Buckles of this type date to circa 1720-1790. A similar example can be seen in Whithead, p.114, no.733.

An incomplete cast copper alloy buckle of medieval date. The buckle is a single loop D-shape with a slightly narrowed strap bar. The outer curved edge is decorated with horizontal incised lines and has an indentation where the pin would have rested. The strap bar has an incised line along its length. The metal has a mid brownish-green patina and survives in good condition. The buckle is 32.4mm long, 23mm wide, 4.1mm thick and weighs 6.1g. Buckles of this type date to 1250-1500. Similar examples can be seen in Whitehead, p.18.

An incomplete high tin copper alloy double looped buckle of Post-Medieval date. Pointed front edge, openwork design with raised dots around outside edge. Only one loop of the buckle survives and the pin is missing. It can be dated to c. AD 1550-1650. A more complete example which can be found on the database is SUSS-99DCAE, https://finds.org.uk/database/artefacts/record/id/624222. A similar example can be found in Whitehead (2003, 69; no. 434).

A copper alloy double looped buckle of Medieval date. The object is rectangular in plan and sub-rectangular in cross-section. The object is centrally curved in profile with recurved ends. Each outside edge of the object has a series of rabbets with four widthways grooves. A very similar example is illustrated by Whitehead (1996, page 77; no. 476), who dates it to the 15th century and suggests it may be a buckle for armour.
