A lithic object that appears at firast glance to be a tanged and barbed arrowhead of Late Neolithic / Early Bronze Age date (c. 2500-1800 BC), however on closer inspection this appears to be a flake, of probable Brone Age date, however without the attributes of a retouched arrowhead; either this is a beginnings of an arrowhead lost or discarded before completion or it is just a flake that resembles an arrowhead in plan.

A modestly retouched flint flake of general prehistoric date, but probably Neolithic or Bronze Age in date (c. 4000-1400 BC). Plano-convex in form, the dorsal surface has a single ridge running from just behind the distal point to the proximal end. The ventral surface is smooth apart from a modest percussion wave and some slight flaking. There are signs of retouch to both the left and right hand distal edges. This implement is modestly worked, sufficient to make it practically useful. The surface is a mottled grey with inclusions and ferrous like staining, some of the crazing/chips…

A flint blade of probable Late Mesolithic to Early Neolithic date. The tool has been manufactured from a long, narrow, parallel-sided flake. The dorsal surface has a central arise separating what are probably two earlier blade removal scars. At the proximal end of the dorsal surface is a pronounced lip, probably indicating the use of the soft hammer production method; at the distal end is a hinge fracture. Retouch appears to be largely confined to one side of the ventral surface, where invasive retouch has been employed along much of the length, creating a cutting edge. The flint is…

A Neolithic adze or chisel. This tool has roughly parallel sides with a narrowed butt end. The cutting edge is flatter and more narrow than the rest of the body. A core tool, this artefact shows roughed-out reduction along the bifacial plane and some finishing retouch along the bilateral edges. The adze or chisel is lenticular in section and retains a small percentage of cortex on the dorsal surfaces. Some recortication may be developing. This adze or chisel measures 152.43mm in length, 35.57mm in width and is 29.83mm thick. It weighs 201.7gms.
