An incomplete cast copper alloy object of post-medieval date but of uncertain function. It is similar to some rotary keys of the period, so this fragment would represent the broken bow and part shank however the shank has no sign of a bit and it has been intentionally pointed / sharpened. The bow would probably have consisted of a pair of loops with inner scroll decoration. It is attached to the shank with a 'baluster' moulding, ending with an abrupt edge to the shank. A struck gold uninscribed quarter stater of the Western region (Dobunni) dating to the period c. 50 - 20 BC. Cottam et al's 'Sunburt little horse' type, listed in ABC as very rare (ABC 2009.). This example has been struck on an elongated flan, probably with a worn flan(s). A coin with similar obverse and reverse wear has been recorded as WAW-CFB026 on this database. During the Roman period, and perhaps earlier, the Dobunni inhabited an area covering the modern county of Gloucestershire and parts of Wiltshire, Oxfordshire, Warwickshire, Worcestershire and Herefordshire.

A small cast copper alloy coin weight for a guinea dating to the post medieval period. This is a weight for a low weight "old" standard guinea that was last issued in AD 1773. This would have been part of a set of 11 weights for the portugese Moidore series, this being the guinea series. Both sides have the initials 'S D' and the number 5.3 (5 shillings 3 pence) beneath. The rim is reeded and the surface is eroded with a dark green patina with ferrous staining.

A cast and worked copper alloy unidentified object, either Roman ( c. 43 - 400 AD) or post-medieval in date (AD 1500-1800). The point and tip of the eye are now missing. The cross section of the shaft at the point end is circular and that morphs into a square cross section at the eye end. There is then a grove, leading into the lower section of the remaining eye. The surface has a mottled light green patina and was located in a field with several Roman finds. This may be a large needle-type object, a toilet implement or possibly a hinged arm for an unidentified larger object.

An incomplete cast copper alloy crotal bell dating to the early post-medieval period (AD1500-1700). The crotal bell is made in one piece but has a filed girth seam intended to imitate the seam on earlier two-piece bells. The bell has an integrally cast square suspension loop and the lower sounding holes and split are filled with earth.
