The coin was discovered very near to, and at the same time as, similar coin DUR-DCF0E2 There are similar coins on the database at IOW-78C451, LIN-3D36A0 and ESS-373D86.

A, probably plated, contemporary copy of a silver siliqua of Valens (AD 364 - 378) dating to c. AD 364-78 (Reece Period 19). VOT X MVLT XX in a wreath on the reverse. Prototype Mint of Trier, -//TR. This is an interesting piece because VOT X MVLT XX does not appear on siliquae of Valens at Trier, although it was used elsewhere (eg. Lyons, RIC 19, and Antioch, RIC 34b). The obverse legend D N VALEN - S P P F AVG immediately confirms it is a contemporary copy; P P might suggest that the forger had copied this title from coins of Julian, struck AD 360-3.
