The ring dates from the 15th century-early 16th century. An incomplete silver gilt late medieval to early post-medieval 'iconographic' finger ring.
The ring is mostly complete with a rectangular tri-faceted bezel. The hoop is largely D-shaped in cross-section measuring 1.11mm in depth and 4.92mm in width at its narrowest point. A medieval cast copper alloy non-symmetrical double oval buckle, with central bar narrowed for sheet metal pin with transverse bar. The bar for buckle plate is missing.The surface is corroded with specks of gilding. The central bar is decorated with closely spaced square cells around and between which traces of red enamel survive. A medieval cast copper alloy shield shaped harness mount (c. 13th century). The design is heraldic, decorated with a paly of nine with traces of red enamel and gilding. On the reverse is the remains of a circular stud.
The length is 29.26mm, the width 24.16mm, the thickness 2.41mm, the weight is 9.26 g
This pendant has been noted by Baker (2015, 9; note 34). It probably relates to the Counts of Provence, possibly the kingdom of Aragon; presumably for Queen Eleanor of Provence (married Henry III in 1236, queen mother until 1291).

A complete Medieval cast gilded copper alloy harness pendant. The pendant is shield shaped, with a circular integral suspension loop. The loop is set perpendicular to the face of the pendant, on a short, rectangular sectioned neck. The front is decorated with an eagle displayed, there are possibly traces of gilding on the eagle. The remainder of the shield would have contained enamel, no visible traces remain.
The harness pendant is 39.25mm in length, 25.6mm wide, 6.55 thick and weighs 10.33 grams.

A complete cast copper-alloy Medieval seal matrix probably dating to c. AD 1250-1400. This artefact is formed from a sub-rectangular in plan and hexagonal in section fluted handle, with a circular perforation at the exterior edge that forms the sub-oval suspension loop. A copper-alloy enamelled heraldic harness mount of Medieval date possibly of Hugh Le Despenser. The mount is shield shaped in plan with a projecting stud on the reverse face which has been bent downwards. The front face of the mount is decorated with multiple motifs. The shield is split into four quarters with a transverse diagonal groove running along the mounts length.
The blazon reads: Quarterly: 1 and 4 (metal); 2 and 3 gules fretty (metal with surviving red enamel); overall a bendlet (colour).

A copper-alloy hexagonal cup weight box, with hinged lid. The top of the lid is decorated with a cross formed of two lines of ring-and-dot punchmarks which cross in the centre of the lid. In addition there are a pair of ring-and-dot punchmarks, one either side, at each point of the cross. In two of the opposing quadrants is a single ring-and-dot punchmark, whilst there is a group of five ring-and-dot punchmarks in the other two quadrants. The upper side of the rim of the box is also decorated with ring-and-dot punchmarks. Opposite the hinge is a projecting lug on both box and lid.

A Medieval (1350-1400) copper alloy rectangular strap loop with separate internal rivet. The strap loop has a curved projection opposite the internal rivet which has a concave reverse. The loop has been bent inwards on one side. The strap loop measures 18.8mm in length, 21.2mm wide, 4.75mm thick and weighs 2.55 grams.

An almost complete cast copper alloy "bee-hive" thimble, of Late Medieval dating (1400 to 1550 AD).
The thimble is oval in plan (it is bent and distorted), and broadly D shaped in cross section / profile, with gentle sloping sides and a pointed domed top. A fragment of a cast copper-alloy medieval buckle frame. The buckle is distinctive with a curved frame which would have had five deep rabbets at each end, two survive on the left face, four on the right. The buckle frame is broadly D shaped in cross section. The strap bar is incomplete, only a fragment survives. The lower edge is flat and undecorated.
The buckle is 30.75mm in length, 27.75mm wide, 8.05mm thick and weighs 9.23 grams.

A complete cast copper-alloy annular brooch of Medieval date c. 1200 - 1500. The brooch is broadly sub circular in plan and broadly circular to oval in cross section. It has been identified as an annular brooch because of the constriction for the pin, the pin survives but is bent upwards. The frame has slightly expanding sides at each point, a oval recess is located at each point. The recesses are filled with soil, the settings are missing. The reverse is bevelled on the inner and outer edges.
The buckle is 16.50mm in length, 15.55mm wide, 3.25mm thick and weighs 1.19 grams.

A Medieval (1200-1400) copper alloy bar-mount from a belt with central and terminal lobes, measuring 18.3mm in length, 7.95mm wide, 4.75mm thick and weighs 0.92 grams.The two terminal lobes are solid, each with a separate copper alloy rivet (in situ). The central lobe is slightly concave to the reverse and domed to the front, with a band of decoration. The decoration comprises three horizontal grooves. Similarly decorated bar-mounts with central and terminal lobes from London date to the 13th and 14th century (Egan & Pritchard 1991 nos.1154-1162).

An incomplete cast copper alloy pin head of Medieval date. The pin head is in the shape of a long-muzzled canine head, with a prominent brow and pricked ears. The long nose is sharply pointed and detail is picked out using incised lines. From the area which would be the back of the head the D-shape sectioned shaft extends a short distance before terminating in a worn break.
The metal has a mid reddish-brown patina and is worn. The strap end is 25.9mm long, 7.5mm wide, 4.6mm thick and weighs 3.1g.
