Post-medieval cast copper alloy button with enamel decoration and integral shank of the 'Stuart enamel' type. The button is circular with a convex front and a concave back. The decoration on the front is moulded in relief and depicts a male, probably either Charles I or Charles II, facing forward, crowned, with long hair and wearing a cloak or robe decorated with a circle at the neck and a pellet on each shoulder. Part of the rim and body of a Gauloise 1 flat-based amphorae. The rim fragment is refitted from three sherds and the body from two. The rim has a flared collar with a flat top and angled outerside so it is triangular in section. the inner side of the rim is slightly recessed to create an inner lip for the lid. The fabric is a reasonably hard pale buff with fine inclusions of limestone, quartz and rock and possibly slightly micaceous. The five pieces together weigh 83 grams. One body sherd from a Medieval, 11th to mid 12th century, cooking vessel of developed greenstone ware. Mid buff fabric with sooted black surface. Sparse (c.5%) limestone temper up to 1.5mm across. Abundant greenstone chert temper, up to 20% of the fabric, poorly sorted with a range of sizes up to 2.5mm across. It weighs 23.76 grams.
