A cast copper-alloy spout possibly from a tap or a ewer of later medieval or post-medieval date. The hollow spout is tubular, curving gradually, with a transverse ridge on the upper surface, running across half of the spout. One face of the ridge has a rough edge and probably the ridge indicated where it was joined to the vessel. The copper alloy now has a light green patina interspersed with black. A roman ceramic body sherd with handle, probably a jar or pitcher of black burnished ware, dating to AD 43-410. The sherd has a medium hard fired, fabric, that is a dark grey colour at its core with a medium orange inner surface and a layer of orange under the black surface on the outer side. It has common fine sand temper and large chalk (up to 3mm) and and patinated grey stone inclusions (up to c.1.5mm). Part of a medieval or post-medieval cast copper alloy pot leg and foot. The leg is sub-trapezoid in section with a narrower, slightly convex back and flat front. It is broken off just above the foot. It widens to terminate in a flat, extended foot, which, when placed on a flat surface, sets the object at an angle and has a D-shaped imprint with a straight front edge. Three body sherds that refit to become one fragment of a Medieval cooking pot dating to c. AD 1150 to 1350. The sherds are both highly abraded and have been reburnt giving them a hard brittle feel. Each of the sherds are predominantly reddish orange in colour with one large surface being a burnt blackish brown colour from burning. Each sherd has common rounded ironstone and patinated chert inclusions up to 2mm and 2.5mm respecively. One end of a larger flat copper alloy piece, probably a handle, that is flat on both surfaces and rectangular in cross section. In plan the plate is irregularly shaped but can be divided into two sections. The first section is placed at the item's break. Post-medieval copper alloy pot leg and foot dating to c. AD 1500 to 1700. The leg is D-shaped in cross section with a flat back and a convex front. Any trace of ribs on the outer face is now unclear. The leg terminates in a very worn foot, almost oval now in cross section and rounded at the slightly widened base, separated from the leg by a raised transverse collar. Part of a lead alloy object, possibly the base and attachment for a handle on a large lead-tin (pewter) jug, possibly of Roman date. The piece has a sub-rectangular shape for 65 mm in length and gradually widen from 13.5 mm on the base to 20.5 mm near the top. It is roughly oval in plan and bullet-shaped with two irregularly shaped outer pieces of oxidised, white-patinated lead, one larger than the other, sandwiching a fragment of the original ceramic pot. The handle is in the form of a birds leg ending in a three toes foot, measuring 21.6mm in length, with the middle toe larger and curved backwards in a claw ending in a point. Body sherd from a small cup, bowl or jar with almost vertical sides. The fabric is mid orange with some fine quartz temper. The exterior is decorated with white slip interrupted by four turned parallel lines at the top and indented ovals with dignal scratches across them below. A yellow glaze over all appears brown on the inside and areas where the slip has been removed. This form of decoration is typical of South Somerset ware of the late 17th to 19th centurys altough the scratched ovals are slightly unusual.
