An incomplete Roman cast copper-alloy Colchester derivative, rear hook brooch dating to the first century AD. The brooch consists of the head, the right wing and a portion of the bow. The head has a semi-circular sectioned wing, slightly concave at the back to accommodate the spring (not found with the artefact). The front of the wing is rounded, plain and has a chipped end which has become flattened through abrasion. The other wing is lost to an abraded break. An incomplete copper-alloy stud or mount of unceratin date, Iron Age to Post Medieval. This stud is circular in plan with a highly domed hollow head being convex on top and concave beneath. The dome's edge is slightly damaged on one side, while its upper surface is abraded and pitted. An integral spike projects from the centre of the inside of the dome and extends for 12.8mm before terminating in a rounded and abraded end.
