A copper alloy damaged handle escutcheon from a Medieval or Post Medieval chafing dish, dating from about AD 1400 - 1600. The lug is 28.8mm long, 17.1mm wide and 7.1mm thick. It is a flat plate of metal which is uniformly 7.1mm thick. It is a sub-circular fitting with a sub-circular hole in it which has broken making it look like a hook. From one end projects a sub-triangular element which would have probably butted up against the vessel. An incomplete copper-alloy object, representing a fragment of a candlestick dating to the post medieval period. The object comprises half of a hollow tubular body and an incomplete curving top. The tube is lozengiform in cross section, and tapers towards the top. The top has approximately a quarter of a loop remaining. An incomplete and unfinished cast lead seal matrix of Medieval, thirteenth century date (c. AD 1200 – c. AD 1300). Length: 55.0mm; width: 32.7mm and 12.4mm thick. Weight: 40.11g. A mount in the form of a human figure with blue champlevé enamel eyes with apertures (on body) and a stud at the rear of the head for attachment. The mount is worn and corroded but some facial features, as well as the eyes, are visible on the solid oval head. A complete cast copper alloy mount of post-Medieval date. (c.1600-c.1750). The mount is convex at the front and flat at the rear. In plan it is in the form of a heart with a fleur-de-lis terminal. The side fleurs of the fleur-de-lis curve round to join the ridge and thus have circular holes within. At the rear are two integral tapering spikes, circular in cross-section. A copper-alloy early-medieval cloisonné brooch dating to the late 10th or 11th century. The brooch has seven peripheral lugs of which five survive, one of which retains a domed blue glass insert. A large buckle which appears to be one half of a double-loop frame. It has a moulded possible trefoil at either end of the narrowed circular-section bar, and a very elaborately decorated outside edge. In the centre of the outside edge is a crown, to be viewed with the edge downwards, in relief and emphasised by six small apertures. Flanking the crown, two recessed fields may once have been inlaid. A complete copper alloy escutcheon from a hanging bowl. The escutcheon has a tear-drop shaped body shape with an integral hook projecting from the wider end. The hook is curved and in combination with the shape of the body results in the whole resembling a long-necked bird. Medieval cast copper alloy suspension bar for a harness pendant of probable 13th to 14th century date. The mount is T-shaped with a horizontal top bar ending in a rounded lobe at one end with a separate copper-alloy rivet through it; the other end is lost to an old break.
