Medieval copper alloy pointed oval seal matrix, measuring 31.2x19.1mm and weighing 6.43g. It is 2mm thick. The matrix depicts a crowned Madonna feeding child ('Maria Lactans') above an arch, below which a figure faces left, praying. A comparison for this image can be seen on a seal matrix from Dunnington, North Yorkshire, IHS-E06142.
