An incomplete Post-Medieval copper alloy spoon, probably dating to the late 17th or 18th century. The surviving fragment comprises of the end of the spoon's handle. This is broadly piriform in shape, tapering from 12.9mm wide at its rounded shoulders to 4.1mm, where it terminates in a worn break. In profile the top edge of one face of the handle thickens pronouncedly above the widest point of the shoulders, from 1.4mm to 3.8mm, creating a lip with a concave curve below it. An incomplete small silver spoon dating to the post-medieval period. The remaining portion comprises the bowl and adjoining length of handle; any terminal knop to the handle is missing to an old, patinated break. The bowl is an elongated oval with a rounded outer edge, which appears distorted and possibly worn. The stem has a D or trapezoid cross section, wider at the back than the front and tapers slightly in width away from the bowl before starting to widen again before the break. A fragment of a copper alloy purse bar, probably of Class A, dating to between AD 1450-1550. The object consists of the suspension loop and the central part of the bar. The central block on the bar is sub-rectangular (cuboid) with rounded lower corners. It is decorated with incised double linee inlaid with niello forming cross hatching on the front and two pairs of parallel diagonal lines on the reverse.
