A complete cast copper-alloy clasp, probably a sword belt fitting. It has a circular terminal, which is attached to the tongue shaped bar by an integral neck. The tongue shaped bar consists of two hollow knobs with transverse ribs either side. One of the knobs retains part of an iron rivet. The body terminates with a small hollow lobe with a solid knob. The lobe retains an iron rivet. The back is flat and has iron corrosion behind the rivets. The length is 44.3mm, the width is 10.0mm and the weight is 5.19g. Early post medieval Copper alloy token, 16mm in diameter and 1mm thick. It commemorates the raising of the Royal standard at Nottingham on 22nd August 1642. The obverse shows a sword surrounded by the legend VICTORY AND HONOUR. The reverse shows an illustration of a large rock with the inscription FIXT ON A ROCKE. A five pointed star with central mullet breaks up the inscriptions on each side. The object is in good condition with a brownish patina and is apparently very rare. A cast copper alloy spoon finial (length: 34mm; width at shoulders of blade: 13mm; thickness at shoulders of blade: 3mm; weight: 3.03g). Intregrally cast with the blade, the small handle/ end knob (length: 7mm) has bead, reel and spool mouldings. The blade tapers fairly gently from shoulders to the blade where the forked tip has been broken off to form a jagged edge. A post-medieval/modern gunflint from a flintlock musket. The flint is broadly rectangular in plan. The ventral surface is smooth and relatively flat; the strikes come in at an angle; the bulb of percussion is absent. The dorsal face is bevelled on all sides, more shallowly towards the distal end where the bevelled area widens, and very haphazardly at the proximal end due to frost fracturing. There is some retouching to the distal end. The flint is a mid- to light-grey/brown colour. The relative crudeness of this gunflint suggests that it may have been a replacement generated in the field.
