A copper-alloy Post Medieval hooked clasp sword belt fitting dating to 1500 to 1650. The fitting is the 'eye' and not the 'hook'. The body of the fitting would have been sub-rectangular but has two breaks one in each corner, the piece tapers into the 'eye' loop by a double moulded crescent. The outer face is decorated with two raised, rounded domes (now corroded) placed above the rivets. There are two rivet holes on the reverse both are encrusted with iron corrosion. A cast copper-alloy spout possibly from a tap or a ewer of later medieval or post-medieval date. The hollow spout is tubular, curving gradually, with a transverse ridge on the upper surface, running across half of the spout. One face of the ridge has a rough edge and probably the ridge indicated where it was joined to the vessel. The copper alloy now has a light green patina interspersed with black. The frame is D-shaped in cross section. The frame has bevelled inside and outside edges and there is a pin rest at each side of the frame. The weight suggests if they are formed of shet they contain some lead solder or similar.
