Early post medieval Copper alloy token, 16mm in diameter and 1mm thick. It commemorates the raising of the Royal standard at Nottingham on 22nd August 1642. The obverse shows a sword surrounded by the legend VICTORY AND HONOUR. The reverse shows an illustration of a large rock with the inscription FIXT ON A ROCKE. A five pointed star with central mullet breaks up the inscriptions on each side. The object is in good condition with a brownish patina and is apparently very rare. A rectangular section stem or shank which extends between two flat elements with, in so far as they remain, curved edges, and both bearing a rayed pattern of grooves converging on the stem. A copper-alloy Post Medieval hooked clasp sword belt fitting dating to 1500 to 1650. The fitting is the 'eye' and not the 'hook'. The body of the fitting would have been sub-rectangular but has two breaks one in each corner, the piece tapers into the 'eye' loop by a double moulded crescent. A copper-alloy Post-medieval strap fitting / belt hanger, dating to AD 1500 - 1700. The mount comprises a pointed oval, slightly convex at the front and concave at the back. The main body has two circular rivet holes on its central axis, each with an internal diameter of c. 2mm; one hole is at the centre while the other is c. 9mm from the moulded end. One end terminates in a rounded knop. The other end extends to an integral hook that curves around to touch the back of the fitting. The bowl of a post-medieval clay tobacco pipe broken at its junction with the stem. The bowl is swollen, convex curved between the mouth and heel on both sides and projects out over the heel. The mouth is parallel to the stem. The sub-oval flat heel projects only a little from the base of the bowl and is wider and longer than the base, starting level with the stem. This large heel is stamped with the maker's mark, in this case the incuse letters GEO / WEBB / IN / CHARD within a stamped pellet border. A post medieval clay tobacco pipe dating to the period c AD1680 to 1720. Most of the bowl is missing but the heel is stamped with the makers mark: WILL/ PITCH/ER in three lines within a pellet circle. The stem is broken at an old break. The pipe measures 51.3mm in length, 14.7 in width and weighs 6.37g. William Pitcher is listed as a maker from Beaminster in Dorset active c.1700 (Oswald 1975 p167). An incomplete cast lead-alloy figurine dating to the Post-Medieval period. The object is a flat figure moulded on one side and smooth on the other. It can therefore be classified as Forsyth and Egan, Type 3. The figure appears to be male, in military dress with baggy breeches and a fitted, sleeveless jerkin or waistcoat over a jacket or chemise with baggier sleeves and a plain cuff.
