Early post medieval Copper alloy token, 16mm in diameter and 1mm thick. It commemorates the raising of the Royal standard at Nottingham on 22nd August 1642. The obverse shows a sword surrounded by the legend VICTORY AND HONOUR. The reverse shows an illustration of a large rock with the inscription FIXT ON A ROCKE. A five pointed star with central mullet breaks up the inscriptions on each side. The object is in good condition with a brownish patina and is apparently very rare.

Fragment of a cast copper alloy two loop bucke. A rectangular section stem or shank which extends between two flat elements with, in so far as they remain, curved edges, and both bearing a rayed pattern of grooves converging on the stem. Rusty stains on the central shank hint at the former presence of a ferrous metal component. This identification was kindly offered by Laura Burnett, with confirmation of this offered by Rob Webley, who comments as follows: 'This looks like the pin bar of a post-medieval buckle, the rust from the missing iron pin. Post Medieval copper alloy token issued by a Huntingdonshire trader, John Bradly of Offord Cluny (Williamson, p337, Huntingdonshire 23). The obverse has a circumferal inscription with a now illegible St George and the Dragon in the centre. The reverse has a circumferal inscription and in the centre inside the inner border, the letter B over initials I.K arranged as a triad. Dates to c1660 AD.

A copper-alloy Post Medieval hooked clasp sword belt fitting dating to 1500 to 1650. The fitting is the 'eye' and not the 'hook'. The body of the fitting would have been sub-rectangular but has two breaks one in each corner, the piece tapers into the 'eye' loop by a double moulded crescent. The outer face is decorated with two raised, rounded domes (now corroded) placed above the rivets. There are two rivet holes on the reverse both are encrusted with iron corrosion.

A late Medieval to early Post Medieval copper-alloy purse bar belonging to Ward Perkins' Class A2, c.1450-1550.
Description: The purse bar itself is mostly complete, but the suspension loop has been broken and uncertain if it remains complete. The two arms of the purse bar are sub-rectangular in both plan and cross section and have expanded sub-rectangular terminals with central knops at either end. A cast copper-alloy spout possibly from a tap or a ewer of later medieval or post-medieval date. The hollow spout is tubular, curving gradually, with a transverse ridge on the upper surface, running across half of the spout. One face of the ridge has a rough edge and probably the ridge indicated where it was joined to the vessel. The copper alloy now has a light green patina interspersed with black. Part of a Post Medieval copper alloy double loop oval buckle dating from c AD1500-1650. One loop is missing at an old, worn break. The central strap bar is narrowed with a small moulded knop at either end. The pin is missing. The front of the frame has bevelled edges and the back is flat and undecorated. The piece has a brown patina. It measures 25.9mm in length,1 9.3mm in width, 2.5mm in thickness and weighs 2.94g.

A small, complete Medieval to Post Medieval copper alloy double loop oval buckle dating to c. 1350 to 1650. The loops are oval with slightly expanded outer edges. The frame is D-shaped in cross section. The frame has bevelled inside and outside edges and there is a pin rest at each side of the frame. The pin bar is narrowed from the frame and recessed and the pin is hooked around it. The in is oval in cross section and tapers to a point. The piece has a green patina. It measures 18.40mm in length, 13.97mm in width, 1.97mm in thickness and weighs 1.29g.

One half of a Post-medieval cast copper-alloy two-part sword-belt toggle-clasp dating from the 16th to 17 century. Toggle-clasps have two sections which lock together, one with an eye and the other with a toggle-bar; this artefact is the section with a toggle-bar. An incomplete dress or hair pin of early Post-Medieval date. The pin has a copper alloy globular head made of two hempisherical halves. The weight suggests if they are formed of shet they contain some lead solder or similar. The shaft if aslo copper alloy and goes right through the head with the top visible at the top of the head, although level with it. The circular sectioned shaft measure 1.5mm in diameter and survives for 25.5mm where it appears to have broken at a bend.

Three fragments of a Post Medieval copper alloy cast spherical (crotal) bell dating to c1600 - 1850. The bell would have comprised two hemispherical domes with a raised circumferential join. The upper hemisphere would have had two circular sound holes with a rectangular suspension loop projecting from the top between them. The lower hemisphere would have had a long, wide sound slit with circular sound holes at either end.

A Post Medieval copper alloy coin weight of James I (AD1603-1625). The weight is flat and square in shape. The obverse has a bust facing right with the letters I R to left, inscription to right ilegible, all within a circle of pellets. The reverse shows a crown above the numerals XI for 11 shillings. The weight measures 14.98mm x 14.72mm is 3.17mm in thickness and weighs 4.34g, 66.8grains.
Withers (2011:26) catalogues this type and suggests they are mainly British, he suggests (p.68-9) 11s would be for an Angel (71 grains in 1604-1619) or double crown (70.25grains in 1619 to 1657).…

Post Medieval copper alloy buckle frame dating to the period cAD1550 - 1650. The double oval looped frame has a moulded shell like knop in the centre of each loop and a small knop at each end of the narrowed strap bar. The shell shaped knops have convex curved outer edges and converge to an inner point that projects into the loop slightly. This shape is emphasised by incised lines across the knops which converge from the outer edge to the inner point.
