Post Medieval copper alloy trade weight from a stacking set of the reign of Elizabeth I (1558-1603). The weight is circular and flat on both faces with straight sides. The top has a circular indent at the centre and is stamped with a crowned EL at 5 o'clock. It is 15.4mm in diameter and 2.0mm thick; it weighs 2.62 grams ( 0.09 oz probably originally 1/8oz). A corroded, plain copper-alloy rivet-like object which might have been used to hold repairs to a vessel in place. It is sub-oval in plan with a possibly break giving a broadly straight edge to one side. On the lower surface there is an integral protruding prong towards this edge whose terminal protrudes to one side and is flattened at the base. A fragment of a post-Medieval skillet handle (1679-1717 AD). The fragment is sub-rectangular in plan, flat on the upper face and convex on the underside ('D'-shaped in cross-section). On the upper face there are incised letters: S E with an incised linear groove above and below the letters. This handle has a dark green patina with patches of corrosion. A Post-Medieval copper alloy handle from a cooking vessel such as a posnet or skillet. The handle is a shallow 'D' shape in cross section, with a flat upper surface and a convex, rounded reverse. There are rough breaks on both ends, one ot a c30 degree angle, the other transverse. The hollow spout is tubular, curving gradually, with a transverse ridge on the upper surface, running across half of the spout.
