A cast copper-alloy double-sided apothecary weight of 17th century date (1600-1700). The weight has bevelled edges and has a shiny dark brown patina, although it is corroded in places. 16.4 x 16.4 x 3.5mm. Weight: 7.27g. (112.0 grains). Traditional symbol and rose type (Biggs 1992: 9).

A translucent yellow glass bead, probably dating to the Post Medieval period. The bead is spherical with a central piercing and a band of opaque white around the cnetre, caused by a change in colour in the glass trail rather than an applied band. It measures 9.30mm in diameter and weighs 1.20g. The glass appears to have been wound in a rail to form the bead. Glass beads are difficult to date with any certainty but the size, shape and colour would suggest that it is probably of Post Medieval date.

A damaged spherical cast copper-alloy post-medieval animal 'crotal' (bell). This complete example has a sub-square suspension loop between two circular sound holes located on the upper hemisphere. The sound holes are recessed on the outer surface and measure c. 5/6mm in diameter. The upper hemisphere is plain. The suspension loop has a angled top and the curve of the bell continues through the opening suggesting it was made using the detachable sprue-piece casting method developed in the 17th century. Fragment of a cast copper alloy probable Post Medieval clapper bell or open bell. All that remains is the sub oval suspension loop or handle, with circular opening and below this a fragment of the domed top of the bell. The metal appears to have a high tin and or lead content and is silvery in appearance with very rough edges along the breaks. For an example of a more complete bell of this type and date please see record SUSS-000D32. Bells of this type are typically dated c.1600-1800.

A corroded and incomplete cast copper-alloy post-medieval plain double-looped buckle frame. The frame is missing one of its loops after an old break at the pin bar. The surviving loop is trapezoidal, with a flat lower surface and an upper surface which is bevelled externally. This gives the frame a triangular cross-section, while the pin bar is semi-circular in section. There is a knopped protrusion at each end of the pin bar. A corroded and incomplete cast copper-alloy double-looped buckle frame of medieval to early post-medieval date. The frame was formed of two conjoined ovals such that the sides incurve. The frame is bevelled both internally and externally on the upper surface, the latter more shallowly; the lower surface is flat. The pin bar thus has a trapezoidal cross-section.
