A slightly clipped 15th-century silver medieval groat of Edward IV, Type XXI, London mint (Second reign, 1480-1483 AD; North 1631).
Coins with such a cinquefoil initial mark are noted as having a rose on the breast on the obverse. The rose is not clear on this coin but the obverse has been double struck (cf. SWYOR-5099E7 on this database with a clear rose).
