A copper alloy Medieval strap fitting. The fitting is one long rectangular sheet of metal with simple decoration which has been bent at about a third of the length in what appears to be later damage. At one end (the end which had been bent) there are two rivet holes with rusted remains of iron rivets in situ, and at the other end there is only one rivet hole with the rivet missing. A medieval copper alloy mount dating to the period c.AD 1350-1400 The mount has a large central domed boss that is decorated with five horizontal grooves. Either side of this central lobe is a circular domed lug with a separate small copper alloy rivet running through a hole in the centre to secure the fitting to the strap or belt. The rivets are complete with roved ends, one bent to the side. The reverse is concave behind the central boss and end lugs. There are traces of a green patina on the upper surface. Body sherd from a small cup, bowl or jar with almost vertical sides. The fabric is mid orange with some fine quartz temper. The exterior is decorated with white slip interrupted by four turned parallel lines at the top and indented ovals with dignal scratches across them below. A yellow glaze over all appears brown on the inside and areas where the slip has been removed. This form of decoration is typical of South Somerset ware of the late 17th to 19th centurys altough the scratched ovals are slightly unusual.

An incomplete Roman copper alloy finger ring, probably dating to between AD 50 and 250. It consists of the bezel and the adjacent parts of the hoop. The hoop on one side protrudes by c7.25mm while on the other side it extends for c11.45mm, the tapered point having been bent inwards. The rest of the hoop is missing to old breaks. The bezel is oval in shape and indented and about half of it contains fragments of glass which appears aqua at the back and amber towards the front. A translucent yellow glass bead, probably dating to the Post Medieval period. The bead is spherical with a central piercing and a band of opaque white around the cnetre, caused by a change in colour in the glass trail rather than an applied band. It measures 9.30mm in diameter and weighs 1.20g. The glass appears to have been wound in a rail to form the bead. Glass beads are difficult to date with any certainty but the size, shape and colour would suggest that it is probably of Post Medieval date.
