Cast lead vessel repair (pot mend). Oval with two irregularly shaped outer sides joined by a smaller central section. In the groove created between the outer sides there are traces of the original pot. The pottery appears to be of sandy dark orange fabric. It is 36.8 mm by 32.6mm, 10.2 mm thick and weighs 48.07 g. Pot mends of this form are found in both Roman and Medieval periods, as a common way to repair broken pottery. The remains of the original pot seem to be Roman in date although it is too fragmentary to be completely certain.

They are held together by three folded copper alloy sheet rivets, probably of the 'folded lozenge style which was popular in the Medieval period. Rim fragment from a copper alloy vessel, probably of a type used for cooking. The fragment is 39.7mm long, 43.7mm wide, 3.6mm thick in the body and weighs 34.3 grams. The rim flares outwards at an angle of 120 degrees to the body and has an uneven edge. The rim is 10.4mm wide at the widest 4.2mm thick. The curve of the rim suggests the original vessel had a diameter of 24cm. There are traces of sooting on the outside, suggesting a cauldron or other cooking vessel.

A cast copper alloy pot leg and foot fragment. 45.1mm long, 30.7mm wide, 21.4mm thick and weighs 101 grams. The fragment is heavily worn but appears to be angled at about 60 degrees. The back is plain. The front has two vertical grooves creating a slightly tri-bobed appearence; just below the top is a raised horizontal band with a semi-circular profile. The top is smooth with slight grooves rather than broken and has a central raised, rough section that may have held a rivet. There appears to be traces of sooting on the foot, this, and its size, suggests it may come from a cooking vessel.

A cast copper alloy leg from a Medieval to Post Medieval vessel. The leg appears trapezoid shaped in cross section with a flat front and rounded back. The leg terminates in an outward facing foot. The front of the leg has a raised central rib running down the lengh. It measures 86.1mm in length, 52.9mm in width and 25.0mm in thickness. Butler, Green and Payne (2009, pg 4) do not record an example identical to this but it is perhaps most similar to their Type 'a' which was widespread in the Medieval period with examples known into the early 17th century.

Body sherd from a small cup, bowl or jar with almost vertical sides. The fabric is mid orange with some fine quartz temper. The exterior is decorated with white slip interrupted by four turned parallel lines at the top and indented ovals with dignal scratches across them below. A yellow glaze over all appears brown on the inside and areas where the slip has been removed. This form of decoration is typical of South Somerset ware of the late 17th to 19th centurys altough the scratched ovals are slightly unusual.

The sherds mostly have dark inner and outer surfaces and a slightly lighter inner core; some have re-oxdised to shades from mid-orange to mid-grey from later burning others appear lighter as the darker surface has been lost. Copper alloy foot fragment from a cooking vessel, dating from the Medieval to Post Medieval periods. The fragment has a triangular cross section, expanding in width towards the foot. There are round protrusions at the end of the two sides of the foot. It measures 30.3mm in height, 47.5mm in width and 32.9mm in thickness. It weighs 99.57g.

A cast copper alloy leg from a Medieval to Post Medieval vessel. The leg is broadly trapezoid in cross section with a central rib running down the length of the wider flat front. The rib has a rounded front. There is an old break at the top. The leg is rectangular but is worn around the lower edge with one corner broken. It measures 48.8mm in length, 41.2mm in width by 17.5mm in thickness including the rib, 13.0 excluding; it weighs 115g. There are extensive traces of black sooting on both sides. A Post Medieval copper alloy zoomorphic handle of uncertain date and from an unidentified vessel. The handle is in the form of a birds leg ending in a three toes foot, measuring 21.6mm in length, with the middle toe larger and curved backwards in a claw ending in a point. Behind this is a V-shaped raised section measuring 19.1mm in width identified as the other toes. A Post Medieval cast copper alloy pot foot with a small remnant of the pot attached, dating to c. AD 1500-1700. The foot is triangular in cross-section, tapering downwards. There are three longitudinal, convex raised ribs running down the front, the central rib protruding further than the others (thus forming the triangular cross-section), and extending further up as it joins the remnant of the pot body. Post-medieval copper alloy pot leg and foot dating to c. AD 1500 to 1700. The leg is D-shaped in cross section with a flat back and a convex front. Any trace of ribs on the outer face is now unclear. The leg terminates in a very worn foot, almost oval now in cross section and rounded at the slightly widened base, separated from the leg by a raised transverse collar. The piece is 42.04mm tall, 29.72mm wide at the foot, 17.8mm thick and weighs 71.6g. Cast copper alloy vessels were widely used from AD1200 to 1700 for serving and cooking. One end of a larger flat copper alloy piece, probably a handle, that is flat on both surfaces and rectangular in cross section. In plan the plate is irregularly shaped but can be divided into two sections. The first section is placed at the item's break.
