In the background are the furnaces with a gantry projecting between them. In the foreground is a man carrying a bar for tapping the furnaces and at his feet are four bars of pig iron. A Post Medieval lead bifaced token or possibly weight probably dating to between c. AD1500 - 1800 of Powell type 2. One side bears the raised letters L O retrograde with a line underneath. The other face is less clear and has at least two vertical lines separated by a pellet, one joining a horizontal line, probably an H or a 4. It measures 26.4mm in diameter and weighs 18.9g, about one third of an ouce. An incomplete medieval to post-medieval lead bifacial token dating to the period c. 1300-1700. Possibly Powell Type 25 depicting a crown (or alternatively Powell Type 23 depicting churches)/Powell Type 14 depicting a cross with pellet in each quarter. The token has been struck on an irregularly shaped flan which has not been trimmed to the circular border. The token has suffered two losses at its circumference. It measures 22.8mm in diameter and weighs 3.17g.

A lead disc, blank on one side and with an impression of the obverse of an VRBS ROMA Roman nummus. For similar impressed objects, see this database at: LON-8C0467, WAW-013507 and LIN-FE2DF8, which has been described as a probably metal working hoard, or maybe a forgers hoard. A suggestion by Dr. Martin Henig for LON-8C0467 was a tessera used possibly as a pass to allow entry into a military building or the Baths, for example. An alternative possiblity is as a seal, but theer are no holes for the attachment of cord.

Seventeenth century traders token of Lewis Williams of Chester dating to 1667. Williamson (1889) and Dickinson (1984) catalogue a half penny of Lewis Williams of Chester but not a penny. It appears from the spacing of the words on the obverse that this token has been converted into a penny from a half penny (by removing the word HALF from between HIS and PENY, either by a change on the die or on the token.
